Pregnancy highlights so far

Here are a few of the memorable moments from the first 23 weeks of the pregnancy:

  • 5/5/09 1st doctor appointment and ultrasound, heartbeat 158 beats per minute!
  • 5/8/09 Told Megan's mom and Ed the news by mailing a bottle of baby powder with a note telling her she is going to be a "Grandmom" again (told the rest of the family soon after)
  • 6/15/09 2nd ultrasound, heartbeat 153 beats per minute, length 8.8 cm (3.5 in)
  • 6/17/09 Megan's 29th bday and end of the first trimester, which was filled with exhaustion, some queasiness, bloating, and a lot of excitement!
  • 7/19/09 (18 weeks) I felt the baby move for the first time after our kitty was purring on my belly, and have continued to feel her more and more since then. Now the kicks can be felt by Martin too.
  • 7/28/09 3rd ultrasound, found out that "Question Mark" is a GIRL!!! Also healthy and developing right on track for the due date
  • 8/16/09 Baby shower given by Ellen & Dave Langlois and Cryshelle Patterson at Ellen & Dave's in Greensboro. Very exciting that the nursery is starting to fill up!

    I remember how thrilled both of you were after the shower. That was a very thoughtful act of kindness from your friends, plus the dessert that was served sounded delicious! grin
