5 months old!!!

In the past 6 weeks or so since the last post, things have been very busy in our household!

Haley is able to sit unsupported briefly but not consistently yet.

She sits easily with support now and really likes it.

She always has the funniest facial expressions. She is very vocal now and squeals and cracks up laughing often.

She started rolling over (tummy to back only) a few weeks ago and now I can't get her to stop!

Maybe she will like dolls as Grandmom hopes. She doesn't really care what she plays with as long as she can put it in her mouth.

We have had a lot of fun and messes starting solid foods. Her first veggie was squash. She loves several veggies and rice and oat cereal so far. She goes "mmmm" with every bite. She is currently in the habit of "blowing bubbles" with the food which goes spraying over Mommy.

She's been sleeping through the night since early April, except for during her 2 colds (one which turned into an ear infection). Other than the expected occasional colds, she is still doing wonderfully in daycare and we are very pleased with her daycare.

Haley's favorite thing right now is Piedmont. She laughs every time she sees him or even hears his name. The feeling isn't mutual (but he will tolerate her).

April 9 - Almost 4 months old

At nearly 4 months, Haley is an extremely happy baby and each day is so much fun. Here are highlights of her personality and developments now:

-always smiling and laughing, very easy baby
-loves to jump (in jumper), "stand up," be carried upright, say "goo" (and various other sounds), hear repeated syllables or goofy noises, be read to, take bath, and eat!
-SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT without a peep or any feedings the past 4 nights (Megan's favorite accomplishment - hope this doesn't jinx it!)
-doing great in daycare - always complimented by her teachers for being easygoing and happy
These were taken on Easter when visiting at Martin's parents' house:

She loves trips to the park in her stroller

She loves this jumper toy, especially looking up at the ceiling fan and watching the dogs run around

Baby's First Easter!!!! April 4, 2010

On Easter we took Haley to church (a contemporary service) and she was well-behaved and really enjoyed seeing all the people and getting so much attention. The Easter Bunny came. The Easter Bunny had cleaned all the "toys" prior to giving them to her, but Haley immediately chose to put the new sunglasses (not cleaned) into her mouth - HA. We took her to a beautiful park for pictures. A family let us borrow their Bumbo seat for the "sitting" picture. It was a fantastic Easter and we appreciate new life more than ever of course!

March Madness

The month of March was very eventful in Haley's development and in our family. I went back to work - hence the lack of blog updates. Haley entered full time daycare and is doing great - we are really pleased with her daycare Village Kids. She is in a class of 7 babies and is the youngest. She is now able to play with cool new toys such as this jumper:

She also learned to read (HA) and now loves to sit up supported.

Haley has become a thumb-sucker like her mom used to be!

She often cracks up laughing now

She likes stroller walks (the leopard thing is a belt of a robe that she LOVES)

You wouldn't know it from this picture but she gets kind-of fussy on her tummy, definitely prefers to be upright and "standing" or sitting.

Playing all day!

Haley is enjoying shaking rattles if put into her hand.
